We aspire to be a safe platform that makes it easy for people to connect through storytelling.
Uncle Butch (Robert Downey Sr.) was the most authentic storyteller we knew. He was born in NYC on June 24th 1936. He died in NYC on July 7th 2021 at the age of 85 years old. He was a native New Yorker and an avant-garde underground film director, screenwriter and prolific storyteller.
Our storytelling show is a tribute to Uncle Butch.
Theodore "Teddy" Angelus
Teddy, a native New Yorker, grew up in an eclectic family of writers, actors and filmmakers. After his father fired him 3 weeks after joining the family business after graduating college, Teddy moved to Los Angeles to "find himself'. After a one year stint working at The Liquor Barn in Los Angeles he and his father "made up" and he moved back to NYC to begin working in his father's business once again. This time it took 4 weeks before his father fired for the second time. This is when Teddy decided to be an actor and started studying at HB Studios and got a job bartending and waiting tables at a fancy club on West 57th Street. After 2 years, his acting career was going nowhere fast so he shifted and started working in the field of corporate recruiting. Once he decided to get sober he started his own recruiting firm and built it up to 100+ recruiters before it was sold in 2010. After the sale, he ran a tech coding school and most recently pivoted his career once again; his passion for tennis led him to his current job, managing Member Services at The Roosevelt Island Racquet Club while he is producing Uncle Butch, a series of live storytelling events.
